
Gabriel Lopez is a writer, director, and editor born and raised in Miami, Florida. His upbringing as a Puerto Rican in a multicultural hub brought him a unique blend of perspectives that he brings into his work, which blends genres to explore personal and universal themes. Gabriel began writing stories when he was six and evolved that practice over time into screenwriting in high school and, eventually, Ringling College of Art and Design’s Film program, where he honed his skills writing, directing, and editing multiple projects that have gone on to over 20 international festivals and garnering accolades from organizations such as the Director's Guild of America and the Sarasota Film Society.
Having graduated with a BFA in Film, Gabriel also holds a minor in Creative Writing. As he forges ahead, Gabriel seeks to engage and spark conversation through his work, all while entertaining through comedies, thrillers, and dramas.
